Job summary

PharmaEssentia USA is seeking a Director of Patient Access to lead strategy, governance, and operations for patient access programs, including hub and specialty pharmacy partnerships. The role drives affordability programs, reimbursement support, and patient services with strong cross-functional leadership.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in patient access, payer dynamics, and regulatory compliance, and will guide a high-performing PSS team while optimizing vendor

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in healthcare, life sciences, business, or related field required; advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum 10–12 years of experience in patient access, reimbursement, patient services, or related pharma/biotech functions.
• Proven leadership of patient access programs and related provider hub and affordability solutions.
• Experience managing external vendors, governance, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategy, governance, and operations of Patient Access Programs including hub and specialty pharmacy partnerships.
• Establish and manage goals, KPIs, SLAs, and dashboards to monitor performance and drive improvement.
• Serve as internal SME and strategic lead for access operations, reimbursement support, and prior authorization.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to align Patient Access strategy with business objectives.
• Develop and coach the Patient Support Specialist team and ensure scalable processes.
• Oversee SOPs, business rules, and operational processes for consistency and compliance.
• Identify tech, data, and process enhancements to improve patient and provider experiences.
