Job summary

University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton Executive Education seeks a Senior Director, Open Enrollment to lead a diverse portfolio of executive programs in Philadelphia. You will manage Directors, align curricula with market needs, and drive growth while upholding program quality and participant experience.

You’ll collaborate with faculty and senior leaders across Wharton and Penn to expand offerings, innovate delivery modalities, and ensure financial success of the Open Enrollment portfolio.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years of progressively responsible experience in executive education, higher education, professional education, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• Demonstrated experience leading and developing high-performing teams with strategic direction and accountability.
• Strong business and financial acumen with portfolio growth and profitability responsibility.
• Proven ability to build trusted relationships with senior-level stakeholders and cross-functional partners.
• Experience evolving educational programs in response to market needs and feedback.
• Exceptional strategic thinking, communication, and organizational skills; willing to travel.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership for the Open Enrollment director team and portfolio.
• Lead Directors in design, delivery, evaluation, and continuous improvement of programs across modalities.
• Supervise and coach Directors; foster high-performing team culture and strategic planning.
• Oversee financial performance: revenue, expenses, profitability, enrollment, resource use.
• Build relationships with Wharton and Penn faculty to drive curriculum innovation and growth.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to advance strategic initiatives and partnerships.
• Establish standards for instructional excellence and participant experience.
• Monitor satisfaction, learning outcomes, and feedback for continuous improvement.
• Represent Wharton Executive Education, monitor market trends, and travel as needed.
