Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health seeks a Director of Sponsored Programs Contracting to lead contracting strategy, policy development, and daily operations for sponsored programs. You will direct a team, oversee 1300 annual actions, and ensure compliant, efficient contracting with researchers and external partners.

Collaborating with R&AA, General Counsel, and Clinical Trials offices, you will optimize processes, improve customer satisfaction, and implement milestones and evaluations across the SPC

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree is required for the role.
8–10 years of grants/contract review and management experience with supervisory exposure.
10 years of related experience may substitute for the degree.
Experience with grants management and financial principles is preferred.
Knowledge of laws and regulations governing research.
Advanced skills in Microsoft applications and databases.

Responsibilities

Lead development and implementation of contracting management strategy and annual work plan.
Direct policies and procedures for sponsored programs contracting management.
Oversee 6–8 staff and about 1300 annual actions, ensuring efficiency and compliance.
Monitor workload, backlog, and implement process improvements.
Manage department budget and relationships with investigators and offices.
