Job summary

Herschend Family Entertainment Corporation seeks a Director of Purchasing to lead enterprise procurement across its parks, resorts, aquariums, and attractions in a hybrid, in‑office Atlanta area role.

Reporting to the CFO, you will develop sourcing strategies, build a scalable procurement function, negotiate major supplier agreements, and partner with Finance to deliver EBITDA improvements and sustainable cost reductions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field required.
• 8–10+ years in purchasing, procurement, strategic sourcing, or related fields; 10+ years preferred.
• Experience negotiating enterprise-wide supplier agreements and high-value contracts.
• Proven track record delivering cost savings, EBITDA improvements, and working capital benefits.
• Experience in multi-site operations; hospitality/entertainment sectors a plus.
• Strong financial acumen and ability to build business cases for senior leaders.
• Experience implementing purchasing technologies and reporting tools.
• MBA and/or CPSM/CPCM/CSCP certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute an enterprise purchasing strategy across the portfolio.
• Centralize and optimize purchasing functions across sites to leverage scale.
• Build and mature purchasing processes, governance, and analytics.
• Lead sourcing strategies for direct and indirect spend; manage RFQs/RFPs and negotiations.
• Create category strategies balancing cost, quality, service, and guest experience.
• Manage supplier relationships, scorecards, risk management, and continuity plans.
• Improve procure-to-pay execution and savings roadmap; track validated results.
• Collaborate with Finance on budgeting, forecasting, and executive reporting.
