Responsibilities

• Direct the daily administrative and research operations of the Mellowes Center; develop and maintain effective financial and programmatic tracking systems, policies, and SOPs that comply with federal, sponsor, and MCW requirements.
• Ensure regulatory compliance for all Mellowes Center research activities, including IRB and IACUC approvals and renewals, and design and implement training programs for research staff.
• Supervise research and administrative support staff; recruit, hire, train, and evaluate staff, oversee corrective action in partnership with Human Resources, and identify staffing needs.
• Partner on strategic and operational planning; resolve operational challenges in line with the Center's direction.
• Oversee grants lifecycle, budgets, vendor relationships, and procurement processes.
• Monitor operational metrics and prepare reports for leadership; liaise with research offices and external collaborators.
• Oversee publications tracking, support manuscripts and grant materials, and input on study design where appropriate.
