Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Health Care Administration or related field.
• Typically requires 7 years of experience in health care administration, including 3 years of management.
• Knowledge of external market forces affecting hospitals, practitioners and payers.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with physicians and employees at all levels.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and computer applications used in medical practice.
• Knowledge of regulatory agency guidelines and compliance requirements.
• Hospital Incident Command System 100 training.

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership, direction and administration over assigned operations to grow revenue and improve margins.
• Directs leaders to meet productivity standards in resource utilization, staffing and efficiency.
• Ensures effective use of resources including length of stay and various care modalities to deliver right care in the right place.
• Implements clinical operations aligned with initiatives to optimize patient care practices.
• Plans and executes market growth strategies and coordinates services across the market or system.
• Collaborates with governing body, management, medical staff and clinical areas on quality assessment and improvement activities.
• Handles provider and patient concerns and oversees development of improved services and market relationships.
