Spring Health is seeking a Director of Financial Reporting to ensure GAAP-compliant, timely financial statements across the organization. You will lead technical accounting matters, drive consolidation, and guide the finance team through complex transactions within a fast-growing, AI-driven healthcare company.

Based in NYC with hybrid work expectations (2–3 days in the office), the role partners with senior leadership to deliver accurate reporting, audits, and regulatory filings while advancing

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA license or equivalent.
• 7+ years of relevant experience; 3+ years in financial reporting/technical accounting.
• Strong GAAP knowledge and healthcare regulatory awareness.
• Experience with enterprise systems (NetSuite/Workiva) and reporting platforms.
• Proficient in Google Workspace; excellent communication and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Oversee preparation and review of GAAP-based financial statements.
• Lead consolidation of results across business units and technical accounting.
• Research, interpret, and implement new accounting standards and guidance.
• Support complex transactions including M&A, new products, and equity-based comp.
• Review contract terms with Sales for proper accounting treatment.
• Develop and implement financial reporting policies and best practices.
• Ensure state-specific regulatory filings and audits are timely.
