Mount Sinai Health System in New York seeks a Director of Employee and Labor Relations for Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai to provide strategic ER leadership across multiple functions, and assist with Talent Management, Compensation, Benefits and Finance.

In this environment, the Director will act as an extended staff member and close advisor to school leadership, developing strategic workforce plans.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field required; Master's degree preferred.
• 6+ years of progressive HR generalist experience and knowledge of HR principles and practices.
• Proven track record of relationship building with internal and external customers.
• Experience with recruitment and sourcing candidates, compensation knowledge, job analysis, and salary structure design.
• Ability to handle employee conflicts and sensitive information with discretion.
• Strong business acumen and ability to align HR with organizational strategy.
• Experience in a technology organization strongly preferred.

Responsabilités

• Oversee HR responsibilities across ISMMS; use data-driven problem-solving to improve processes and outcomes.
• Handle internal investigations in collaboration with Legal and Compliance.
• Manage and educate staff on the collective bargaining agreement for post-doctoral fellows and supervisors.
• Plan and maintain departmental SOPs; review and update policies as needed.
• Collaborate with leadership to identify personnel needs and workforce planning strategies.
• Serve as HR liaison with departmental administrators and staff on policies and procedures.
• Advise on HR policies and Faculty handbook interpretations including leave procedures.
• Develop and conduct training programs related to employee relations and policies.
• Maintain knowledge through workshops, publications, networks, and professional societies.
