Goodwyn Mills Cawood LLC is seeking a strategic, relationship-oriented Director of Business Development to support the growth of its Architecture practice across South Carolina and North Carolina. The role focuses on developing, maintaining, expanding, and strategically managing client relationships while coordinating with regional leadership and project delivery teams.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in related field.
10+ Years of relevant experience post-graduation, preferred.
Engaged in life-long learning to maintain knowledge associated with Architecture / Engineering contemporary issues.
Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

Protecting and expanding existing client relationships.
Developing new relationships with public-sector, educational, institutional, municipal, and civic clients.
Building multiple points of contact within strategically important accounts.
Identifying potential capital projects and client needs 12-36 months before formal procurement whenever possible.
Improving opportunity identification, qualification, pursuit strategy, and pipeline visibility.
Supporting collaboration across GMC's Carolinas offices and service disciplines.
Strengthening seller-doer effectiveness through relationship strategy, client intelligence, and coordinated engagement.
Establishing repeatable business-development practices that support continued growth.
