Job summary

The Schott Foundation for Public Education seeks a Program Director for the National Opportunity to Learn Network (SF). The role collaborates with grantees and external partners to power campaigns that ensure every student has a fair opportunity to learn through strategic philanthropy and capacity building.

Reporting to the Vice President of Programs & Advocacy, the director leads program administration, grants, development, and external relations to advance equity nationwide and strengthen

Qualifications

• 5+ years of work experience as a leader in education policy or philanthropy.
• Experience in coalition-building, external communications, and partner collaboration.
• Experience with grassroots and grasstops mobilization at state or national levels.
• Fundraising experience and knowledge of philanthropy sector.
• Strong writing, analytical, and strategic planning skills.

Responsibilities

• Program Administration and Management: manage day-to-day partnerships with stakeholders to resource campaigns across localities and states.
• Grantmaking and Grantee Support: provide strategic guidance, capacity building, and coalition development for grantees.
• Development: identify and cultivate new donors, engage current donors, and raise the organization’s visibility.
• Grants Management and Evaluation: support evaluation initiatives and organizational learning.
• Communications and External Relations: represent the Foundation and build strategic partnerships to extend impact.
