Job summary

Takanock, LLC seeks a Director of Environmental Permitting & Strategy to lead the permitting strategy for its data center and energy projects across the United States. Reporting to the Chief Development Officer, this role blends strategic leadership with hands-on execution to drive timely, compliant project delivery.

You will set standards, mentor teams, manage consultants, and engage regulators to accelerate schedules while mitigating risks across multiple concurrent developments.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressively responsible environmental permitting experience.
• Extensive experience leading environmental permitting strategy for complex infrastructure or energy projects.
• Demonstrated expertise in water permitting and related regulatory programs.

Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise-wide environmental permitting strategy across the portfolio.
• Develop permitting strategies to reduce risk and accelerate schedules.
• Mentor project teams on permitting strategy and regulatory engagement.
• Manage environmental consultants, regulatory agencies, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Provide executive updates on permitting status and regulatory issues.
• Develop portfolio-wide permitting roadmaps with milestones and mitigation steps.
