Job summary

The Green Recruitment Company is seeking a Senior Permitting & Environmental Manager to lead permitting for data center and gas generation projects in the United States. You will guide site diligence through construction readiness and build strong agency relationships.

In this role you will manage environmental programs, engage regulators and communities, and coordinate with Development, Engineering, Land, and Legal teams to scale permitting practices across a growing portfolio.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent in Environmental Science, Planning, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years (Manager) or 7+ years (Sr. Manager) of relevant experience in permitting/environmental roles.
• Strong knowledge of land use, environmental regulations, and permitting processes.
• Comfort presenting to regulatory agencies, elected officials, and community stakeholders.
• Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects, consultants, and budgets.

Responsibilities

• Lead permitting, environmental, and cultural resource programs across a multi-project portfolio.
• Develop integrated permitting strategies aligned with project timelines and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare and submit permit applications; track status and ensure compliance.
• Manage consultants (scoping, budget, quality review).
• Represent projects at public/agency forums, including tribal and community engagement.
• Partner cross-functionally with Development, Engineering, Land, and Legal teams.
