Job summary

Target Technology Services seeks a Director of Technology, Enterprise Modernization, to lead the enterprise modernization strategy and execution. You will coordinate across portfolios and enable engineering teams to modernize legacy platforms at scale.

Success comes from influence and collaboration rather than direct ownership; you will guide Technical Program Managers and engineers, aligning cross-functional dependencies while communicating complex concepts to executives.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Business, or equivalent experience.
• 15+ years of technology, engineering, program management, or transformation leadership experience.
• 5+ years of leadership experience leading high-performing technical teams.
• Experience leading large-scale technology transformation or modernization initiatives in complex enterprise environments.
• Strong business acumen and ability to connect technology strategy to business outcomes.
• Proven ability to influence and drive execution across teams without direct authority.
• Strong understanding of modern software engineering practices, platform architectures, cloud technologies, infrastructure, and enterprise systems.
• Experience identifying and managing complex cross-functional dependencies and risks.
• Excellent communication and executive storytelling skills for diverse audiences.
• Demonstrated success building partnerships across Engineering, Product, Infrastructure, Architecture, and Business teams.
• Experience leading teams through organizational change and transformation.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to create structure in ambiguity.

Responsibilities
