Job summary

CommunityAmerica Federal Credit Union seeks a Director of Enterprise Fraud & Investigations to lead the fraud prevention, detection, investigation and response program across the organization.

This strategic leader will shape the fraud risk governance, oversee complex investigations, and partner with Risk, IT, Compliance, Legal and Operations to protect members and assets, while building a high-performing team of investigators.

Qualifications

• Significant progressive experience in fraud prevention, detection and investigations within a bank or other regulated financial institution.
• Ability to lead complex fraud investigations from identification through disposition and recovery or referral.
• Strong understanding of fraud typologies, attack methods and control vulnerabilities across products and channels.
• Experience translating investigative findings into operational or technology improvements.
• Excellent written and verbal communication to executives and nontechnical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee complex fraud investigations from initial identification through disposition.
• Develop investigative hypotheses and reconstruct events using available evidence.
• Identify connections among events, accounts, transactions and devices.
• Determine root cause, control breakdowns and contributing weaknesses.
• Coordinate with Legal, Compliance, Information Security, HR and law enforcement when appropriate.
• Establish case-management and evidence documentation standards.
