Job summary

The School of Communication Sciences and Disorders at the University of Central Florida invites applications for a 12-month, tenured professor to serve as school director, located on the UCF main campus with an anticipated start date in August 2027.

The director will lead a growing, internationally recognized faculty, oversee academic, clinical, and research programs, and foster strategic partnerships to advance education and service to the community.

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree required in communication sciences and disorders or related field.
• Record of teaching, research, and service commensurate with tenure at professor rank.
• Demonstrated administrative leadership and mentoring in a university setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide academic and administrative leadership for the School of Communication Sciences and Disorders.
• Manage human resources, budget model implementation, academic and clinical programming, student success and research excellence.
• Foster intra- and inter-school collaboration to enhance scholarship, teaching, and service; mentor faculty to obtain external funding.
