Job summary

The University of Central Florida invites applications for a 12-month, tenured professor to serve as school director in the School of Communication Sciences and Disorders (CSD) at the UCF main campus, with an anticipated start date in August 2027. The successful candidate will lead a growing team, oversee HR, budgeting, and academic/clinical programming, and drive teaching, research, and partnerships.

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree in communication sciences and disorders from an accredited institution.
• Eligibility for tenured professor at hire with a record of teaching, research, and service commensurate with a tenured faculty appointment.
• Administrative leadership and mentoring experience in a university setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide academic and administrative leadership for the School of Communication Sciences and Disorders.
• Manage human resources and implement a new budget model.
• Develop and oversee academic and clinical programming, student success initiatives and research excellence.
• Foster intra- and inter-school collaborations to enhance scholarship, teaching, and service.
• Mentor faculty to secure external funding and advance collaborative, interprofessional education.
