Job summary

First National Bank of Omaha seeks a Sr. Director, Advanced Data Scientist to lead the data science and modeling function within the Partnership Division. You will define a multi-year roadmap and oversee the development of advanced ML models for credit decisioning and portfolio management.

You will combine deep quantitative expertise with executive presence to drive strategy, align stakeholders, and deliver measurable business impact at scale.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience developing statistical or ML models in financial services.
• Experience with credit card acquisition and account-management models.
• Strong Python and/or R programming and SQL skills.
• Knowledge of model validation and risk management.

Responsibilities

• Define and own multi-year modeling roadmap for credit-risk models.
• Lead end-to-end model development from problem to production.
• Apply advanced ML techniques to large datasets and assess model performance.
• Develop monitoring frameworks for model performance and stability.
• Collaborate with risk, compliance, and technology teams to address challenges.
