Thrivent Financial seeks a Director of Corporate Security & Business Resilience to lead physical security, safety, crisis response, and business continuity. You will align security programs with Thrivent’s mission and collaborate with executives and external partners to safeguard people, assets, and reputation.

The role requires a strategic leader with 10+ years in security or law enforcement, CPP/CFE certifications, and a track record in financial services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in a related field required; masters preferred.
• Industry certifications CPP and CFE.
• Minimum of 10 years of management experience in physical security or law enforcement.
• At least 3 years in a corporate business setting, preferably in the financial industry.
• Minneapolis-based hybrid position with office 2–3 days a week.
• On-call and available 24/7/365 to respond to incidents.
• Travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Directs development of an effective strategy to assess and mitigate risks and crises.
• Oversees corporate security, health and safety, emergency planning, and business recovery.
• Develops and implements talent development, succession planning, and mentorship.
• Leads investigations to minimize liability and maintain security posture across the organization.
• Maintains relationships with law enforcement and regulatory agencies.
• Guides technology used to manage physical security and recovery capabilities.
