Job summary

University of California, Irvine seeks an Executive Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations to lead a comprehensive foundation and corporate relations strategy. You will collaborate with academic, administrative and development leaders to increase philanthropic support for research, priorities and interdisciplinary initiatives.

You will manage the CFR team to build new partnerships, identify funders, and coordinate major gift strategies with donors and foundations while aligning with ORU

Qualifications

• Expert knowledge of fundraising concepts and donor relations.
• Bachelor's degree or higher education required.
• Seven to ten years of fundraising experience, preferably in higher education.
• Excellent written and interpersonal communication; ability to secure gifts.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and time-management skills.
• Experience with major gifts and proposals.
• Experience with donor/prospect databases.

Responsibilities

• Lead the CFR team to strengthen corporate and foundation relationships.
• Develop strategies to secure seven-figure gifts.
• Identify and engage new philanthropists and funders.
• Coordinate with research offices on ORUs and opportunities.
• Oversee stewardship plans to increase investments.
