Job summary

Qualifications

• 5+ years in foundation/corporate fundraising or related philanthropy.
• Proven success securing/managing 5- to 6-figure awards.
• Exceptional writing, editing, and proposal development skills.
• Strong project management and organization.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Commitment to Gateway Maryland's mission and values.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement an annual strategy for corporate and foundation fundraising.
• Build, manage, and grow a portfolio of institutional funders and prospects.
• Research and identify new funding opportunities that align with Gateway's priorities.
• Cultivate, solicit, and steward donors through moves management.
• Support initiatives related to growth, capital needs, and program expansion.
• Partner with leadership to develop funding strategies for opportunities.
• Prepare grant proposals, LOIs, sponsorship requests, and reports.
• Collaborate with program and finance teams on narratives, budgets, outcomes.
• Maintain a grant calendar and ensure timely submissions and reports.
• Monitor grant performance and funder compliance.
• Maintain accurate donor and prospect records in the CRM.
