Job summary

Rhythm Pharmaceuticals, Inc. is seeking a Senior Director of Analytical Development and Quality Control to lead strategic analytical initiatives from discovery through commercialization.

You will manage internal and external laboratories, guide regulatory-ready data packages, and partner with cross-functional teams to ensure product quality and compliance. The role is based in Boston with a hybrid work model and may require some travel.

Qualifications

• PhD (preferred) or MS in Analytical Chemistry, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related scientific discipline.
• 12+ years (PhD) or equivalent experience in analytical development within the pharmaceutical/biotech industry, including leadership.
• Experience leading analytical development and QC across lifecycle (discovery through commercialization).

Responsibilities

• Define end-to-end analytical strategies across product lifecycle, incl. method development, validation, transfer, and lifecycle management.
• Lead cGMP-compliant QC activities and regulatory-ready analytical packages.
• Oversee external labs (CDMOs/CROs) and ensure timelines, budgets, and quality.
