Job summary

Rhythm Pharmaceuticals Inc., based in Boston, MA, seeks a Senior Director of Analytical Development and Quality Control to lead analytical strategy from discovery through commercialization and lifecycle management.

You will drive CQAs, impurity profiling, and comparability programs while overseeing internal and external labs to ensure compliant, timely data delivery for regulatory submissions and supply continuity.

Qualifications

• PhD (preferred) or MS in Analytical Chemistry, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
• 12+ years in analytical development with leadership experience.
• Experience leading analytical development and QC for small molecule and/or peptide.
• Deep expertise in method development, validation, transfer, and lifecycle management.
• Proficient in regulatory submissions (IND, NDA, MAA) and ICH guidelines.
• Strong cross-functional leadership and vendor management.

Responsibilities

• Define end-to-end analytical strategies across the product lifecycle.
• Oversee QC labs, ensuring cGMP compliance and data integrity.
• Lead and manage CDMOs/CROs, with budget accountability.
• Support regulatory submissions with analytical modules (Module 3).
