Job summary

Bay Cove Human Services is seeking a Director of Accounts Payable and Procurement to lead the organization’s spending, vendor management, and payment processes. You will shape procurement strategy, oversee contract management, and ensure compliance with GAAP and OMB guidelines at a busy nonprofit.

The role reports to the CFO and directs the Credit Cards and Accounts Payable managers, with a focus on cost optimization and risk mitigation to support mission-driven funding.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
• MBA preferred for leadership roles.
• Experience in fund accounting or nonprofit finance is valuable.

Responsibilities

• Direct and lead teams across accounts payable, procurement, and contract management.
• Develop and implement spending strategies to optimize cost and cash flow.
• Create internal controls to safeguard assets and prevent fraud.
• Manage full procurement lifecycle from needs assessment to renewal.
• Oversee high-volume invoice processing and three-way matching.
• Ensure compliance with state/federal regs and GAAP/OMB guidelines.
• Support audits with detailed documentation.
