Job summary

Westlake seeks a Category Manager, Digital & Technology in Houston to develop and execute enterprise sourcing for IT spend, including software/SaaS, cloud, cybersecurity, data center, and professional services. You will partner with IT, Finance, Legal, and business stakeholders to improve total cost of ownership, savings, supplier performance, and continuity of supply.

The role requires 8+ years in procurement and strong negotiation, with experience in SAP/Ariba, Power BI, and analytics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in related field; MBA or certs preferred.
• Minimum 8 years in procurement, sourcing, or category management.
• Experience with software/SaaS, cloud, cybersecurity, telecom, and hardware.
• Strong communication and stakeholder influence across senior leaders.
• Proficiency with PowerPoint, Excel; SAP/Ariba and analytics tools preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute enterprise digital & technology category strategies and roadmaps.
• Identify best practices for service continuity, security, cost optimization, and supplier accountability.
• Develop KPIs on savings, contract coverage, supplier performance, and stakeholder satisfaction.
• Lead cross-functional teams to align sourcing strategies with policy and channels.
• Monitor adoption, contract compliance, and governance; address leakage through actions.
• Conduct market intelligence, spend analysis, and benchmarking for tech categories.
• Drive cost optimization across software, cloud, maintenance, services and licenses.
• Lead RFIs/RFPs/RFQs and contract negotiations for technology categories.
• Support budget planning and forecasting with visibility into commitments.
• Recommend procurement tech and CLM tools to improve governance.
