Job summary

The Regents of the University of California, on behalf of UCLA Extension (UCLAx), seeks an Associate Director of Development and Corporate Sponsorships to lead annual giving and sponsor partnerships. You will identify prospects, cultivate relationships, and solicit gifts ranging from $5,000 to $75,000.

You will manage a portfolio, design cultivation strategies, oversee events, and collaborate with the External Affairs team to advance UCLAx's fundraising goals.

Qualifications

• 2 years minimum fundraising or annual giving experience.
• Experience in establishing and evaluating strategic partnerships.
• Experience planning events that advance engagement and fundraising.
• Strong understanding of annual giving in complex organizations.
• Ability to identify, cultivate and solicit donors and partners.
• Proficiency in researching funders and developing value propositions.
• Excellent written communication for reports and proposals.
• Strong presentation skills to convey fundraising goals.
• Highly organized and capable of independent work.
• Collaborative team player with strong interpersonal skills.
• Experience with data management and reporting tools.

Responsibilities

• Identify, cultivate and solicit annual gifts ($5,000–$75,000).
• Manage portfolio of prospects, sponsors, and donors.
• Create individualized cultivation and solicitation strategies and timetables.
• Oversee execution of cultivation events and sponsor strategies.
• Collaborate with Assistant Dean, External Affairs and Extension team.
• Support broader External Affairs initiatives and fundraising projects.
