Job summary

The Williams Institute at UCLA School of Law seeks an experienced Director of Development to lead corporate and individual giving programs, events, grants, donor cultivation, and development operations.

With a budget over $6 million, the Director will supervise a four-person team, oversee grant management and budgeting, and work with the Assistant Director to expand income, impact, and fundraising program scope in a dynamic nonprofit environment.

Qualifications

• Eight years progressive responsibility in development leadership (Required)
• Five+ years event planning in not-for-profit development (Required)
• Strong written communication and donor solicitation experience (Required)
• Expert knowledge of gift terminology and major gifts fundraising (Required)
• Budgeting and grant management experience (Required)
• Proficiency with donor databases including Advance (Preferred)
• Ability to design and maintain fund information spreadsheets (Required)
• Strong organizational and leadership skills (Required)
