Job summary

Israel Policy Forum, based in New York, seeks a Director of Development Operations to lead operations across major gifts and donor engagement. The role partners with leadership to translate fundraising strategies into measurable outcomes and builds scalable processes for sustained growth.

The ideal candidate will have 7–10 years in nonprofit fundraising operations, strong moves management, and expertise in Salesforce analytics, forecasting, and reporting.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 7–10 years of nonprofit fundraising operations, advancement services, development management, or related experience.
• Demonstrated experience supporting major gift fundraising programs.
• Strong understanding of moves management, fundraising analytics, and donor pipeline management.
• Experience with revenue forecasting and performance reporting.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the fundraising performance management function, establishing processes, tools, and accountability mechanisms to achieve revenue goals.
• Develop and monitor fundraising KPIs, metrics, and benchmarks for decision-making.
• Own moves management, donor engagement, and pipeline review processes.
• Facilitate portfolio and pipeline review meetings with fundraising staff, providing data-driven insights.
• Monitor activity, portfolio health, and donor movement to ensure strategy execution.
• Identify risks, trends, and opportunities to maximize results.
• Analyze donor behavior, giving trends, and campaign performance to inform strategy.
• Develop quarterly and annual fundraising forecasts and scenario analyses.
• Oversee development dashboards, reports, and analytics for actionable insights.
• Translate fundraising data into recommendations for leadership and boards.
