Job summary

State Theatre New Jersey is seeking a strategic Vice President of Development to lead philanthropy, development strategy, and donor engagement. This senior leader will drive major gifts, annual giving, membership programs, corporate and foundation support, and signature events to fund a $12-14 million operating budget.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience required; seven+ years of nonprofit fundraising and major gifts experience desirable.
• Knowledge of Tessitura or similar CRM systems and comfort with analytics and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development strategy and revenue-generation efforts to support State Theatre New Jersey’s artistic, educational, and community impact.
• Cultivate and solicit major donors, manage annual fundraising programs, and oversee events and donor engagement.
• Provide leadership to Development staff and manage partnerships with the Board and senior leadership to maximize contributed income.
• Partner with leadership to align messaging and fundraising initiatives with organizational priorities.
