State Theatre New Jersey seeks a strategic Vice President of Development to lead its comprehensive fundraising program, including major gifts, membership campaigns, and donor stewardship. The role drives growth by aligning development activities with STNJ's long-term goals and collaborating with leadership, marketing, and community engagement.

The VP will oversee corporate and foundation support, annual events, and the donor pipeline, while managing staff and ensuring budget adherence.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
• 7+ years of non-profit fundraising experience with demonstrated success in development functions.
• 3+ years of management experience.
• Strong interpersonal and cultivation skills.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage a variety of assignments concurrently and meet multiple deadlines.
• Ability to work a varied schedule to include nights and weekends as dictated by the performance schedule.
• Experience working with volunteer Boards of Trustees and Development Committees.
• Experience in using data analysis to inform donor and prospect strategies.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products with emphasis on Excel and Word.

Aufgaben

• Create, oversee, and implement annual fundraising and membership campaigns to attract philanthropic support for STNJ.
• Identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward individual major gift prospects ($10,000+) and donors with comprehensive giving capacity.
• Oversee solicitation efforts to engage new and recurring donors.
• Develop strategy for corporate, small business, and private foundation support; attend solicitations as appropriate.
• Lead event planning for annual fundraising events.
• Collaborate with Marketing and Communications to ensure donor messaging aligns with Development activities.
• Work with Board leadership to create and implement a strong Board giving program and ambassadors for STNJ.
• Supervise Development staff and ensure adherence to Development budget.
