Job summary

Spoon River College Foundation seeks a Chief Development Officer/Foundation Director to provide strategic leadership for fundraising and donor relations across the district. The role reports to the President and works with the Foundation Board, college leadership, alumni and community partners.

The officer will lead campaigns, growth of philanthropic support, and partnerships designed to expand access and student success across Spoon River College programs.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of progressively responsible experience in fundraising or advancement.
• Demonstrated success cultivating and soliciting donors and securing philanthropic support.
• Experience collaborating with a Foundation Board or nonprofit governance body.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations, strategic planning, financial management, compliance and development staffing.
• Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy (annual giving, major gifts, endowment, campaigns).
• Cultivate, solicit and steward individual, corporate, and foundation donors.
