Harvard University’s Alumni Affairs and Development is seeking a Director of Development Strategy to oversee the systems, processes, and internal communications that support top solicitations university-wide and enhance the President and Provost’s engagement. The role requires strategic fundraising expertise and the ability to navigate complex data and organizational structures.

• Bachelor’s degree required and minimum of 10 years related experience required.
• Ability to work occasional evenings or weekends and travel as necessary for donor and colleague meetings and events.
• Cambridge, MA campus events and activities are part of the role.

Responsibilities

• Develop familiarity with backgrounds and strategies for top prospects and donors.
• Oversee pipeline development and liaison with fundraising partners across AA&D and the Schools.
• Provide strategic oversight of a $10M+ solicitation portfolio and coordinate complex solicitations.
• Lead forums and create plans for top prospect strategy discussions and meetings.
• Drive cross-functional integration across departments to align priorities and ensure leadership-level communications.
