Job summary

Women's Money Matters is seeking a Director of Development to lead fundraising strategy, expand philanthropic impact, and foster a culture of philanthropy across the organization. This role partners with the Executive Director, Board, and staff to drive results and donor engagement.

The ideal candidate will manage a portfolio of major donors, guide fundraising initiatives, and coach a developing team while ensuring alignment with mission and program priorities.

Qualifications

  • 5-7+ years of nonprofit fundraising experience with a proven revenue track record.
  • Proven success securing major gifts from individuals, foundations, or corporations.
  • Experience managing a personal donor portfolio and building a strong fundraising pipeline.
  • Experience developing and implementing a comprehensive fundraising strategy.
  • Experience coaching and developing staff; strong relationship-building and solicitation skills.
  • Experience with Salesforce or a similar CRM is preferred; strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy aligned with organizational priorities.
  • Build and manage a strong pipeline of donor prospects across individuals, foundations, and corporations.
  • Lead major gift strategy from identification to solicitation and stewardship.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Director, Board, and leadership to cultivate and solicit significant gifts.
  • Oversee fundraising operations, including donor database management and donor acknowledgment.
