Job summary

WARM, a grassroots nonprofit serving victims of domestic violence in Harlem and the South Bronx, seeks a Development Director & Grant Writer to lead fundraising strategy and grant writing efforts. Reporting to the CEO/Founder, you will join the Executive Management Team and liaison with the board's development committee.

Qualifications

• Proven track record of personally writing funded government proposals of $500,000+ and proposals for unrestricted funds to foundations/corporations.
• Strong development leadership, project management, and budgeting skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement annual fundraising and institutional development strategy.
• Establish annual fundraising goals in partnership with executive leadership.
• Lead government grant proposals and manage RFPs, RFQs, NOFOs and discretionary funding opportunities.
• Coordinate proposal development across program, fiscal, executive, operations, and administrative teams.
• Serve as W.A.R.M.’s lead grant writer and translate programs into persuasive narratives.
• Develop measurable goals, objectives, deliverables, and outcomes with program leadership.
