Job summary

Neighborhood House Charter School (NHCS) is seeking an experienced Director of Development to design and execute the school’s fundraising strategy, including donor relationships, grants, annual giving, and partnerships with foundations, corporations and the community.

This leadership role will guide the Development Team to raise over $1 million annually, support operating expenses, facilities needs, and strategic initiatives in collaboration with the Executive Director and Board.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of development experience
• Demonstrated track record in acquisition and retention of donors (individuals and foundations)
• Experience soliciting gifts of $25,000+
• Knowledge of Boston-area philanthropic community
• Excellent organizational and project management skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute fundraising plan to meet annual goals
• Oversee donor cultivation, solicitation and stewardship pipelines
• Lead major gifts, grants, annual giving, and capital campaigns
• Manage and mentor Development Team and collaborate with Board
