Job summary

Growing Up Green Charter Schools is seeking a Director of Development to build and scale the annual development plan, deepen donor relationships, and establish a robust development operation. You will lead major gifts, annual giving campaigns, grant writing, and corporate partnerships, while partnering with the leadership team to drive philanthropy across the organization.

This role requires 3–8 years in nonprofit development with at least 2 years of leadership, plus strong communications,

Qualifications

• 3-8 years in nonprofit development, fundraising, partnerships, or related fields.
• At least 2 years nonprofit leadership experience.
• Exceptional communicator and networker with strong relationship-building skills.
• Data- and systems-driven, with CRM, budgeting, and fundraising operations experience.
• Commitment to diversity, equity, and social justice; serving mission-driven work.

Responsibilities

• Develop, manage, and execute GUGCS’s annual development plan; scale fundraising and donor relations.
• Lead creation and execution of major gifts, annual campaigns, and donor stewardship.
• Oversee grant writing, corporate partnerships, and foundation fundraising.
• Build and manage development operations, CRM usage, and revenue tracking.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to promote a culture of philanthropy.
