Job summary

MUSC Health is seeking a Deputy Chief Information Officer, Academic and Research Technologies to lead technology strategy across student information systems, research computing, and learning platforms within the Enterprise Information Solutions organization. This role directs the technology that advances MUSC's academic, clinical, and research missions.

This executive will bridge Central IS and the academic enterprise, partnering with deans, faculty, researchers, and students to advance

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years in IT leadership with higher education or academic medical center experience.
• Proven experience implementing enterprise SIS and research IT platforms.
• Strong governance, cybersecurity alignment, and budget management.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams across schools and research institutes.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive the academic and research technology strategy with a multi-year roadmap.
• Lead governance with deans, faculty, researchers, and students and align with Central IS.
• Oversee SIS, LMS, and research data infrastructure lifecycles and integrations.
• Partner with Central IS to ensure architecture, security, and data governance compliance.
