Job summary

Medical University of South Carolina seeks a Chief Nursing Informatics Officer to lead strategy, governance, and optimization of clinical information systems that support nursing and interprofessional care across MUSC Health’s 16 hospitals and statewide telehealth network.

As the CNIO, you will partner with executive leaders to shape EHR governance, workflow redesign, and the adoption of Epic technology, advancing safe, efficient, evidence-based care across a major academic health system.

Qualifications

Current RN licensure with eligibility for SC licensure.
Seven to ten years of progressive nursing leadership experience.
Five+ years in clinical informatics leadership within a complex, multi-hospital health system.
Deep experience with Epic implementation and optimization; Epic certification preferred.

Responsibilities

Lead strategy, governance, and optimization of clinical information systems and digital technologies supporting nursing practice.
Serve as dyad partner to CMIO and bridge clinical operations with information solutions and academic missions.
Oversee enterprise-scale EHR governance, workflow redesign, and technology adoption across MUSC Health.
