Job summary

Butcher Power Products in Rancho Cordova, CA seeks a Demand Planner to own the rolling 12‑month demand forecast and bridge Commercial, Finance, and SIOP. You will translate inputs into a single consensus forecast feeding the MPS and collaborate with the Commercial team to document assumptions and improve forecast accuracy.

You will apply statistical methods, refine models, and develop scenarios for high uncertainty.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years in demand planning, forecasting, or analytics in manufacturing/B2B environment; ETO or complex configured-to-order experience preferred
• Statistical forecasting methods, regression, and demand modeling
• Hands-on proficiency with ERP planning suite; D365 preferred
• Advanced Excel; working proficiency with Power BI
• Strong partnership skills and data-driven challenge of Commercial leadership
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Business Analytics, or related field

Responsibilities

• Own the rolling 12-month demand forecast, integrating historical bookings, opportunity pipeline, and Commercial input into a single consensus demand signal
• Translate pipeline data into probability-weighted demand by product family, configuration, and customer segment
• Work with Commercial to document assumptions used in the forecast and track forecast accuracy and bias
• Provide the single demand signal for both operational and financial planning views to support IBP and align Ops and Finance numbers
• Lead regular Demand Review with Commercial leadership to validate assumptions and lock the forecast entering SIOP
• Interface with Commercial team for forecast inputs, pipeline conversion assumptions, and demand-side scenarios
• Apply statistical forecasting methods, refine models based on accuracy and changing signals
• Develop probabilistic demand scenarios for high-uncertainty opportunities and new products
• Deliver the consensus demand plan to Master Scheduler and incorporate feedback on capacity and constraints
• Surface emerging demand patterns and risks early to adjust the supply plan ahead of execution
• Partner with System Data to build demand dashboards in D365 and Power BI
• Maintain demand data integrity and key KPIs such as Forecast Accuracy and Demand Plan Attainment
