Job summary

Sedona Staffing Services is seeking a Detail‑oriented Demand Planner to forecast demand, plan inventory, and schedule production for our manufacturing operations. You will build accurate forecasts from historical data and market insights, balancing customer service with efficiency.

You will collaborate across Sales, Operations, Purchasing, and Production, maintain ERP/MRP parameters, and monitor forecasting KPIs.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations Management, Engineering, or related field.
2+ years of experience in demand planning, production planning, inventory planning, supply chain, or manufacturing.
Experience with ERP/MRP systems and forecasting software.
Strong understanding of forecasting methodologies, inventory management, and production planning.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills; Power BI or other reporting tools is a plus.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication skills with cross-department collaboration.
APICS CPIM certification or related supply chain certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain demand forecasts using historical data, customer orders, market trends, and business insights.
Monitor forecast accuracy and recommend adjustments to improve planning performance.
Collaborate with Sales, Customer Service, Operations, Purchasing, and Production to align demand and supply plans.
Support S&OP process through demand analysis and reporting.
Review customer forecasts and sales orders to ensure production plans align with customer requirements.
Maintain planning parameters within ERP/MRP system to support scheduling and inventory management.
Analyze inventory levels and recommend actions to balance service, capacity, and investment.
Coordinate with Production Planning to resolve material shortages, schedule changes, and capacity constraints.
Monitor KPIs including forecast accuracy, inventory turns, service levels, and on-time delivery.
Research demand fluctuations and identify trends impacting production or inventory.
Work with Engineering and Operations to support new product launches and changes.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to forecasting, planning processes, and inventory optimization.
Prepare reports and planning metrics for leadership and participate in cross-functional planning meetings.
Perform other supply chain and planning duties as assigned.
