Job summary

Autocar Parts is seeking a Demand Planner to develop, maintain, and optimize forecasts for assigned products and customers. You will partner with Sales, Marketing, Finance, Product Management, and Supply Planning to align demand signals with business goals.

You will monitor forecast accuracy, investigate variances, and drive data-driven improvements in a cross-functional team environment. This role reports to the supply planning function.

Qualifications

• Demand planning experience in a distribution environment.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills including statistical analysis.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Knowledge of S&OP, inventory planning, and MRP.
• Bachelor’s degree; APICS certification preferred.
• Ability to work independently and adapt to changing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain forecasts for assigned products, customers, and business segments using historical demand, statistical models, and business intelligence.
• Monitor forecast accuracy and bias, investigate variances and implement improvements.
• Partner with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Product Management to adjust consensus forecasts.
• Prepare for monthly Demand-EPM and SIOP meetings and communicate changes, risks, and opportunities.
• Manage forecasts for new-product introductions, promotions, and lifecycle events.
• Maintain accurate forecasts in Demand-EPM and ERP systems.
• Support excess/obsolete inventory reviews with demand outlook.
