Job summary

Amcor is seeking a Demand Planner I to support the development of the demand forecast that rolls up to the overall sales forecast for AFNA. This role drives true customer demand alignment with Supply Chain resources and reports to the Sr Supply Chain Manager by Business Unit.

The successful candidate will use data insights to improve forecast accuracy, lead forecast development for consensus planning, and collaborate across Sales, Marketing and Operations to assess demand drivers and market

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations Management or related field and 1-3 years of relevant experience OR Equivalent combination of education & relevant experience totaling 5-7 years.
• Experience working in Supply Chain, preferably with experience in some or all of these areas: Customer Service, Sales, Marketing, Finance, Demand Planning.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail; strong mathematical/analytical skill set; proficiency in Microsoft Office products.

Responsibilities

• Uses data insights to improve sales forecast accuracy.
• Leads the development of the demand forecast to be used in consensus planning process.
• Demonstrates expertise in a variety of Supply Chain functions.
• Makes necessary changes to the demand forecast within established parameters.
• Collaborates with Sales, Marketing and Operations to assess the potential impact of market trends and demand drivers; recommends action based on impact to the business.
• Collects and analyzes past and future demand trends and is the decision maker for changing the forecast accordingly.
• Uses demand planning systems to create an effective statistical forecast.
• Analyzes and communicates forecast details for assigned area, including risks, confidence and opportunities to stakeholders.
• Provides reporting on forecast accuracy and drives continuous improvements.
• Provides accurate and timely demand forecast for assigned area.
• Collaborates with other functional teams to develop a consensus plan.
• Gives recommendations on forecast changes, business process improvements and operational improvements.
• Deliver Service Excellence.
