Job summary

Murata is seeking a Customer Demand Analyst in Irvine, CA, to analyze and manage demand for assigned accounts, translating signals into actionable insights and aligning supply with forecasted needs. The role interfaces with customers and internal teams to maintain demand stability and support operational decisions.

Key responsibilities include forecasting analysis, program-level forecasting, and collaboration with Sales, Supply Planning, and Finance to optimize S&OP/IBP processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in demand planning or related roles (7+ years noted in some contexts).
• Strong understanding of demand forecasting and supply chain fundamentals.
• Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, MS Dynamics) and order management platforms.
• Advanced Excel; experience with Power BI/Tableau or similar visualization tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Effective written and verbal communication, including customer-facing interaction.

Responsibilities

• Analyze customer demand trends using historical data, forecasts, backlog, schedules, and market indicators.
• Support development and maintenance of customer forecasts at product, program, and account levels.
• Monitor forecast accuracy and demand variability; identify root causes of deviations.
