Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace in Phoenix seeks a Senior Director of Sales for Defense & Space to drive revenue, lead the business development and sales teams, and shape strategic customer partnerships. You will report to the VP of Defense & Space and guide win strategies, customer engagements, and proposal campaigns across the D&S portfolio.

The role requires a decade of defense/space sales experience with leadership, deep knowledge of FAR processes, and proven ability to grow accounts while driving

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years of proven experience in a business development / sales role within the defense and space industry, with at least 5 years in a leadership or managerial role.
• Strong understanding of proposal management and technical sales processes.
• Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.
• Knowledge and experience in US government acquisition processes (e.g., FAR 15, FAR 12).
• Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to develop and implement portfolio growth strategies.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills as well as presentation skills.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to support sales operations and customer success.
• Must be a US Citizen with ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a business development / sales team providing guidance, coaching, and support to achieve sales and orders targets.
• Develop and implement win strategies and plans to drive revenue growth and meet or exceed sales / order quotas.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships, understanding their needs and providing appropriate solutions.
• Analyze customer needs to identify new business opportunities and lead proposals / campaigns.
• Provide strategic insights and recommendations to senior management to drive business growth and customer intimacy.
