The University of Southern Maine is seeking a Dean of the College of Science and Technology to serve as the chief academic and administrative officer. The Dean provides visionary leadership for teaching, research, public service, student success, and fiscal sustainability across Maine campuses.

Responsibilities include setting strategic directions, overseeing programs and curricula, and working with department chairs, faculty, staff, students, and external partners.

Qualifications

• Earned doctorate or terminal degree in a discipline consistent with one of the College’s academic units.
• Demonstrated administrative experience in planning, program development, and budget management at the level of department chair, Interim Dean or equivalent.

Responsabilités

• Provide strategic, academic, and operational leadership for the College of Science and Technology.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate goals, programs, and curricula in alignment with the University’s mission.
• Lead collaboration with chairs, faculty, staff, students, advisory councils, and external partners.
• Manage budget, resources, and fundraising efforts in support of academic priorities.
