Flock is seeking a seasoned strategic communications leader to own the Washington DC policy narrative and work closely with Government Affairs and Legal to anticipate congressional questions and shape coverage. Qualifications

• 8–10 years of communications, media relations, or PR leadership with a DC focus.
• Strong judgment and leadership across corporate issues and policy communications.
• Proven relationships with DC and Beltway press; scrappy in building new ones.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with Beltway reporters and manage outreach to key outlets.
• Prepare for congressional scrutiny with anticipated lines of questioning and ready answers.
• Connect policy developments to communications, translating them into leader guidance and outreach strategies.
• Handle daily execution: draft responses, brief executives, follow up, and stay on top of developing stories.
• Collaborate closely with Government Affairs and Legal to align messaging and strategy for legislation on LPR and drone tech.
