Job summary

Flock Safety is seeking a seasoned strategic communications leader for Washington DC and policy narrative. You will own Beltway media relations, pre-empt congressional scrutiny, and connect policy developments to clear, actionable communications.

This is a hands-on, senior role reporting to the VP of Communications. You will collaborate with Government Affairs and Legal, manage external resources, and potentially support crisis or product communications as needed.

Qualifications

• 8-10 years of communications/PR leadership with DC and congressional focus.
• Strong judgment across policy, corporate issues, and leadership.
• Existing relationships with DC/Beltway press or proven ability to build them quickly.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with Beltway reporters at major outlets and educate them on the company and safeguards.
• Prepare for congressional scrutiny with ready facts, messages, and response processes.
• Translate policy developments into clear guidance for leadership and media outreach.
• Draft responses, brief executives, and manage daily press execution.
• Collaborate closely with Government Affairs and Legal to align messaging.
