Job summary

HDR is seeking a Resources Business Group Data Steward to shape how our data is defined, used, and reused across the Business Group and HDR. This leadership role focuses on clarity, consistency, and enabling better decisions through data-driven delivery.

You will define data glossaries, drive governance with HDR Data Operations, and collaborate with BG Data Stewards and enterprise teams to turn data into practical, scalable solutions for projects and strategies worldwide.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of strategic leadership focused on data and organizational change.
• 15+ years delivering data-focused solutions in architecture, engineering or related fields.
• Experience in power, industrial, or waste sectors is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Work as the RBG data point of contact and leverage SME expertise from our Business Classes and Practices.
• Develop and maintain specific data glossary(ies) for key engineering and technical terms with business context.
• Use your technical network to build alignment and consensus around data processes, priority, and expected use.
• Promote consistent, responsible use of technical data, including access, data quality, best practice for format, and reuse.
• Support governance of externally sourced datasets (access, approvals, inventory awareness, storage, and lifecycle considerations).
• Work with Enterprise Data Operations to help lead a RBG SME network to align practices and share lessons learned across our business classes and practices.
• Promote data fluency across the RBG.
• Regularly communicate and collaborate with other BG Data Stewards, BG and Enterprise Data Science Teams, and Enterprise Data Operations staff.
