Job summary

HDR is seeking a Resources Business Group Data Steward to shape data definitions, usage, and reuse across HDR’s Business Group and beyond. This role focuses on making data clearer, more usable, and better connected to how HDR does business, today and in the future.

The position reports to the Resources Business Group Technology Director with a dotted line to the Digital Design Lead. It involves partnering with HDR Data Operations and the Technology Leadership Team to deliver trusted analytics,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, data science, business, computer science, or related discipline or equivalent related experience.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in a related field.
• Experience in development and management of diverse teams.
• Ability to work cooperatively with other leaders, operations managers, technical directors and marketing managers.
• Commitment to HDR values and employee-owned culture.
• Active participation in HDR’s employee-owned culture is a must.

Responsibilities

• Serve as RBG data point of contact and leverage SME expertise.
• Develop and maintain data glossary(s) for key terms with business context.
• Build alignment around data processes, priorities, and usage.
• Promote responsible use of technical data, access control, and data quality best practices.
• Govern externally sourced datasets and lifecycle considerations.
• Lead a RBG SME network to share lessons learned across business classes and practices.
• Promote data fluency across the RBG and collaborate with other teams.
