Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Manager to lead the Critical Projects Implementation (CPI) organization, overseeing project managers and coordinating with operations, engineering, and business partners to execute critical infrastructure improvements in data centers worldwide.

You will set vision, develop metrics, drive improvements, manage workload across locations, and expand CPI services into new geographies while ensuring safety, capacity, sustainability, and availability commitments.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of management experience.
• 4+ years of general contractor and vendor management work related to construction and project execution.
• Knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems in data center operations.

Responsibilities

• Set vision and strategy — Develop short- and long-term goals for the CPI organization, aligned to data center growth.
• Lead a team of project managers — Hire, develop, and coach; grow and retain top performers.
• Own organizational delivery — Prioritize workload across teams by impact and manage safety, capacity, sustainability, and availability commitments.
• Define metrics and mechanisms — Establish methodology to execute strategy, measure performance, and drive data-informed decisions.
• Influence across the organization — Build relationships with senior leaders to deliver priorities as a global standard.
• Manage financials and headcount — Provide financial spend oversight and scale headcount to meet demand.
• Look around corners — Identify improvement opportunities and expand CPI services into new geographies.
• Own organizational health — Maintain culture, learning, engagement, and career growth across the Americas.
