Job summary

Google is seeking a Technical Program Manager for Data Center Development Planning and Pre-Construction. You will oversee planning, pre-construction, and agreement management across multiple sites, coordinating with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to optimize CapEx and ensure on-schedule delivery.

The role requires extensive leadership of cross-functional teams, strong vendor management, and the use of data analytics to drive cost decisions and risk management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of program management experience in construction, real estate, or data center industries including site selection, due diligence, and permitting.
• 8 years in agreement negotiation, procurement strategies, and using data visualization tools to track program performance and vendor relationships.
• 8 years of strategy and cost governance, applying value engineering and parametric modeling to optimize CapEx and contracting methods.
• 8 years of experience managing cross-functional projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead intake, planning, and pre-construction phases of large-scale data centers with developers to align with design intent and construction strategies.
• Drive cost and schedule governance across multi-billion dollar CapEx portfolios and oversee agreement management strategies.
• Advocate for parametric cost modeling and analytics to optimize real estate development and building design.
• Act as the strategic link between developers, engineering, procurement, and internal stakeholders to negotiate agreements and adjust contracting approaches for best value.
